Ava Lorein represented the Philippines at the International Session of the Nadia Comaneci Invitational last Saturday night at the Cox Arena in Oklahoma City. She started on Floor Exercise, she over-rotated on her double pike and fell on her first pass, she got 11.35. She did a Yurchenko lay-out on Vault and got 13.15. She made a few mistakes and arched on her overshoot on Bars and got 13.35. Her final routine on the Beam was solid except for a fall on side somi, she got 13.0, and got an All-around score of 50.85. There was a mixup somewhere and she was listed as a Senior, she got 7th place for Seniors All-Around. A week after the competition, the mixup was eventually corrected, the rankings were adjusted, she actually placed 5th in the Juniors All-Around, but it was already too late for her to get her medal.
